5Excellent Phone
By Geek
The big brother and improved version of Samsung focus. It is excellent and user friendly with Windows Phone 7.5 . It will probably suppourt windows Phone 8 if it becomes Available to update for current Windows mobiles since it is the latest generation of Windows Phones.Though it has a small bug of frreze up the improved firmware is now available and has no problem since I updated it with new firmware.

Pros:
1. Better pixel density than focus.
2. Faster 1.4 Ghz processor.
3. Is capable of 4G.
5. Is latest generation of Windows phone.
6. Front facing camera for skype or video chat or video call
7. Excellent 5 MP camera.

Cons:
1. Sometimes freeze up.(though updating firmware solves it muchly) but not completely.
2. Smaller screen than samsung focus(3.7 vs 4 inches)
So This is an excellent phone for the price.Just go for it. For its specs the phone should be sold for a price range of $250+.

Update :12 August 2012

After using phone for like 4 months I have following things to say:
1. I havent faced a single phone freeze after the recent tango update(there is way to trick phone to update even though AT&T doesnt push it)
2. The app center is growing rapidly(In last few months as I myself have seen). There are a lots of apps tailored for your need.
3. Games works great on this device no freezing and lagging.
4. Some people haave said that they got a locked phone .I too got a locked phone but THIS PHONE WILL BE UNLOCKED BY AT&T FOR FREE.Just call them and ask for an unlock code. They will give it right away to you no need to goto third party unlocker.
5. Battery life is superb.

5Speedy, lightweight smartphone that anyone can use!
By Optimized_Shopping
I have been using smartphones since 2008, first on Windows Mobile 6 on a HTC Tilt, then iPhone 4, and I got bored of the iOS and wanted to try the Windows Mango interface. I picked up the Samsung Omnia W (the international equiv. of Focus Flash), which is the newer model that replaces the original Omnia 7, and found it simple to use since day 1. Skype is now fully integrated making it complete. Here are the details tech summary:

Key features:
Super AMOLED Technology, WVGA (800 x 480) Internal Display Resolution
3.7" Internal Display Size
16 Million Internal Colour Depth
Gorilla Glass
Quad-band GSM/GPRS/EDGE support
Dual-band 3G with HSDPA 14.4 Mbps and HSUPA 5.76Mbps
Windows Phone 7.5 Mango
1.4GHzQualcomm MSM8255 Snapdragon CPU, Adreno 205 GPU, 512MB of RAM
5 megapixel autofocus camera with LED flash (FRONT Facing & BACK Facing!)
720p video recording @30fps
8GB of built-in storage
Standard 3.5mm audio jack
Standard microUSB port (charging, hooking up to PC via Zune)
Wi-Fi b/g/n
Stereo Bluetooth 2.1
Mobile Office document viewer/editor
Social network integration (Facebook/Google/Hotmail etc) and cloud services
Built-in GPS receiver, A-GPS
Stereo FM Radio with RDS
115.97 x 58.8 x 10.9mm Physical Dimension
115.3g Weight

Another good thing compared to the iPhone is the integrated Internet Explorer for web browsing.
It has ability to open up to six tabs at a time, and the performance is top notch - the browser relies on hardware graphics acceleration to provide smoother graphics (and video) and animation and uses the latest (and fastest) JavaScript engine too. This is where the fast processor (1.4ghz Snapdragon CPU) really shines, and you can tell the difference compared to the 1st generation of Omnia 7 (which has slower CPU, but slightly bigger screen), released in early 2011.

Overall this phone is speedy, extremely lightweight and portable (iPhone feels much heavier compared to this). I really feel this is the Smartphone for all-ages, and enjoy the simplicity and speed while meeting my daily needs (Skype, Evernote, flawless Outlook Exchange & Gmail integration, nice Zune player, and HD camera). Most importantly this is also UNLOCKED so I can just pop in a SIM when I travel (it uses the normal sized SIM, not micro-SIM).

Good phone. For the ~$200 USD price, you can't go wrong.

5Solid Phone
By Fez
I really do love this phone. I had a smart phone, but it was when the first kinds of touch screen smart phones were coming out and it was straight garbage. This phone is dynamite. You know, if you aren't looking to get all the bells and whistles then this is a great phone. The Windows Platform is not as bad as advertised. I really enjoy the platform actually. It is easy to use, and simple to learn. The phone is lightning quick. My biggest pet peeve though is there is no functional d-pad on the QWERTY touch screen pad. It does get annoying some, but overall, it really is a minor issue. I think the phone is great and I wouldn't trade it out. I enjoy the heck out of it. I'm a simple guy, and this all the fancy phone I need :-).

4Awsome phone... Android is great!
By Jairo Nunez
After a deep research on the internet about new phones, i decided to change mi Great Nokia 5800 for an android based phone. Galaxy Ace was the best Cost-Benefit choice. Big challenge for me to change my Symbian system, because use to be really stable and well done. Comparing the experience with symbian and nokia phones as a reference, the change to Android is awesome. You can feel the difference due to the best hardware set up... 800Mhz processor and 277MB RAM memory. Both, SO and processor make a huge difference.

Looks great, big screen (quick response, sensitive), Light, fast... really fast, with the android market ant thousands of apps, many of them free.

Only one big issue: battery life. I have been trying to configure it to get the best battery performance, but until now... no more than One day using randomly the wifi to be synchronized and using the web. For me, is not a big deal because i use to work close to my office, so i have the opportunity to recharge it during the day easily, but for those people working without an energy outlet close, and forced to use data connection all the time, this phone will be a problem. . That is why i am not giving the 5 stars; but could be a nightmare for another kind of phone users. That problem is suppouse to be improved with the new Gingerbread firmware, which i am waiting for (samsung announce it few days ago).

If you get this phone, charge the battery for the first time at leas 12 hours. Does not matter if the phone announce the full charge, that issue makes a huge difference with the battery life. For some reason, even with the full charge activated on the screen, the battery will continue receiving charge and increasing the usage of the battery.

I am impressed about how easy is the synchronization with google software: calendar, gmail, docs, etc and also with facebook and tweeter accounts to get information of your contacts.

Very nice and powerful phone.

5Great Andriod phone for the Price
By A. LaVita
I purchased the ACE for myself 8 months ago and it is so easy to use. It does drink the battery if you are doing alot of internet and application access during the day. All in all this is a great phone with good features and able to run all the Android applications. I love the WiFi because it saves on my data plan. My wife like my phone so much, I purchased a second one this week.

5Good phone with quality build
By hundredrabh
I have had this phone for a week or so. Almost everything works fine out of the box.
Android market is full of some good apps. Plus if you are adventurous you can build your apps with Android SDK. They have plenty of documentation and examples.

Only issues so far. The battery seems to last (less as per my expectations) only for 1.5 days with little (1.5hour) wifi and 2 hour talk time (I use loudspeaker so this might be more if you don't) and 2.5 hours of games. Could not get gingerbread installed via Kies (might use 3rd party ROM flashers, Odin??, which seem to be available in plenty)
Note this phone ships from outside US. As advertised you have no warranty and US Samsung customer support won't help as it is a non-us device. So wrt tech help you might be on your own. Or buy the warranty version.
Could not get GPS to work as of now. Need to understand all the settings.

Pluses.. awesome screen with no lag. Android community for support and development.

Love it and would recommend if you are looking for a cheap unlocked phone.

Update:
Got gingerbread update from Samsung using Kies, so no unlocking or rooting required (will have to see what happens for later Android upgrades). Now the battery has improved significantly. So no qualms for the money spent. 3G speeds from Att&t in my area are decent, tried gtalk and youtube and multiple app download with no noticeable lag.
And writing apps for android is fun!! Wish I had more money to upgrade to more powerful newer phones :(. But no regrets from this one so far!

Update: Almost 1 year now after purchase. Upgraded the firmware to 2.3.6 (I know no ICS or Jelly bean). But it does make the phone feel more responsive and snappy.
Loving it so far.

4Nice cool phone watch...but the browser says insufficient memory. The Camera only does 160x120.
By A. SAUCEDO
Do you ever see those cheapy ten to twenty dollar prepaid cell phones? The one's that have just 6 to 8 icons on it to do basic tasks like phone, text, web, photos, music and alarm clock? Well take the guts out of that phone and put it into a circular plastic enclosure and attach a wristband to it. You now have that same basic cell phone on your wrist. That is what this wetch is.

I was amazed that I now have a touch-screen phone on my wrist as I love watches. I got happy as MP3's started playing loudly from the watch and out of the built-in speaker...I got even happier when I took my T-Mobile SIM out of my regular cell phone and stuck it into this watch phone. Made calls with no problem...I thought this would be the best watch phone ever...until I found out that the browser can only load ONE webpage. It loads the mobile version of Google. If I click on any link, it tries to load and says "Insufficient memory". I tried going to [...](a mobile weather site), and it cannot even load that. I researched the device's hardware. It has 20KB of onboard storage. Note: that's 20K - not 20 MB or 20 GB...20KB! I had installed an 8 GB microSD in it but that didn't help. There is no way of configuring the browser to use the 8 GB SD card as cache. The browser is 99% useless (or 1% useful).

Sadly, the advertised 1.3 MP camera can only take pictures at 160x120 and 120x120 with or without the SD card installed. There is no option to take pictures at 1280x1024 (1.3MP). I checked every option in there and cannot adjust the resolution to anything higher than 160x120. On the other hand, when I select the video recorder option, it actually lets me record at 320x240 at its highest resolution. It does record on to the SD card...why can't the stupid browser use the SD card instead of its onboard 20 KB?

I really think I was given a different model watch phone because my broswer don't work past one webpage and it can only do 160x120 = .019200 MegaPixel pictures. So why didn't I return it or ask for another one...laziness...plus I do like this phone and it works. I didn't want to gamble by returning and getting one where the camera and browser works but the phone or something else won't. Plus, I have an HTC Amaze that already has a browser and 8 MB camera on top of an Olympus E-PM1.

Cell Service you ask? Here's the summary...I have tried THREE different SIMS.
1. T-Mobile SIM taken from my HTC Amaze...works great. Cell phone calls are good. Texting is a bitch because you have to use a zip tie, toothpick or a very thin stylus to type on the Qwerty keyboard on a 1 1/2 inch screen. To get the browser setup, you have to go into the settings and add the service "fast.tmobile.com". Again, it will load one webpage google.com. If you click on any link, it will say "Insufficient Memory".
2. I signed up for Consumer Cellular. Their stupid $10 a month plan includes ZERO minutes. Really? Then why pay $10? I had to pay $15 for the 150 minutes plan. A $2.50 add-on gets you 100 texts and little web data. $5 gets you 500 texts and like 100MB of data. Careful, even without your SSN, they pull your entire credit report. It showed up on my credit report and caused my score to go down due to "Too many inquiries". Anyway, they shipped me a free SIM. I installed it. The calls and texts went through ok. After researching for a couple of days, I found a much cheaper plan...
3. The new H20 wireless. H2O Wireless (formerly O2 Wireless, not to be confused with O2 of Europe) is a United States-based prepaid GSM phone and Internet service. It is the brand of mobile virtual network operator (MVNO) Locus Telecommunications via AT&T's network. Basically, it's a nickel for text and phone calls. Pay $10, get 200 minutes. Pay $20, get 400 minutes. Or simply pay $100 and get 2000 minutes to use in 12 months (about $8.33 a month). I had to pay $9.99 for the SIM. Bought it at the BestBuy store rather than waiting for it to be shipped. I installed the Dual-size SIM into the phone. Careful, it is a microSIM inside a full size SIM. Try not to break it out of the full size SIM or you will be stuck with a microSIM that won't fit the watch phone. I added $10 to my account and had 200 minutes to use. Made calls and sent a couple of texts. Works great.

In conclusion:
Calls and Texts: Work Great if you don't mind the extremely small qwerty keyboard on a tiny little screen.
Camera: Mine won't go past 160x120 on stills and 320x240 on video.
FM Tuner: Works great...as long as you have the proprietary USB headphones plugged in. These ARE NOT mini USB earphones. It is a proprietary port.
MP3 player works great. Surprisingly good sound out of the on-board speaker.
Touch-screen works fair to good. Even after calibrating, it can be slightly off.
It has calendar, alarm, Tasks and Ebook reader.
It's got "QQ" that is only in Chinese. Don't know what it's used for.
Waterproof??? Hell no! I forgot to take it off once when I went into the shower and it froze. I had to remove the battery and stick it in one of those "Wet Cell Phone repair kits" I bought at the dollar store. I let it dry for a day and it worked after that.

I would have given it 5 stars if the camera and browser would have worked. Still a good watch. Maybe a firmware update or something will fix it.

***UPDATE AS OF 10/13/13***
It's been several months and my phone watch still is working great. I charge it to 100% and it stays on for 4-6 days on standby with little usage.

H2OWireless is now only $3.34 a month. Pay $10 and get three months of service or 200 minutes...whichever comes first. Since this should be an emergency phone or backup phone, you won't hit the 200 minutes for three months. And if you don't hit your 200 minutes, the next $10 will add the 200 minutes and carryover your non-used minutes.

Someone asked about buying a backup USB cable...well, since this uses a proprietary USB cable, you will have to buy another watch if you want another cable. I tried buying one of those Watch/Phone USB cables that they claim work with most watch phones. It arrived and looked way different than the photo showed. This cable is not miniUSB or microUSB so don't lose your proprietary cable.

5WOW What a GREAT phone thats also a watch or is it a watch that is also a phone!
By Thomas Hawes
I purchased 2 of these watch phones about a month ago, one pink for my wife (her favorite coller), a black one for myself. I was looking for a fairly inexpensive, basic cell phone to use as a backup, due to the fact that our regular cell phones seem to ALWAYS need to be on a charger, and also because my wife has a bad habit of leaving her cell phone on the charger in the car or at home and not having it with her when she needs it, or I am trying to reach her by phone (we both have android smart phones). Based on the product description these phones seemed to fit the bill perfectly, especially since they were wearable so they would be convenient to always have with you, and did not scream cell phone. Being a watch was also a plus as we were relying on our cell phones as a watch previously. The Dick Tracy Gee Whiz factor did not hurt either!

I have to admit based on the mixed product reviews my expectations were NOT too high and if it were not for the fact that I am a long time Amazon customer and I had the protection of ordering through Amazon in case their was a problem I probably would not have taken a chance and ordered them. My concerns were completely unfounded! These watch phones are AWESOME!!! I am blown away and extremely pleased with them! They look great (a bit on the big side, but I am a big guy so no problem their, my wife is very petite, so she wears hers a bit loose but looks like a bracelet watch. My wife is very picky and skeptical about how things look and gadgets in general, but she loves hers as well!). They were very easy to set up and are easy to use and work GREAT! I could not be more pleased with my purchase! I am so pleased I am ordering another one, this time the stainless steel model as it better suites my style. The call quality is very good (people on the other end of my calls actually tell me I sound better then when I use my smart phone). The MP3 player works great, sounds a bit tiny but more then acceptable, the camera and video are VGA quality, but as long as you mange your expectations and know they are not HD they are perfectly useable when you have not other camera available. TXT works very well also. I have not tried getting on the web with them or using the FM radio, and probably never will. I have also not yet tried the Bluetooth so I cannot comment on that either. The battery life surpasses my expectations, needing recharging only every few days with marginal cell use. If you are looking for a stylish, fun, practical, easy to use basic phone with a little Gee Whiz factor you will love these watch phones! One warning, be prepared if you use it in public to get LOTS of questions about it as EVERYONE loves them and are curious about them and want to know where you got it!

A few things to be aware of;

They screen and keypad are very small. The watches come with a small stylus that fits in the band, and you will probably need it for the initial set up as well as for texting. I have big hands, and can still manage to dial and make calls without the stylus, but definitely have to use the stylus to TXT.

The product description says it will support a 8GB memory card but the box says 4GB. I could not get the 8GB card to work and had to buy 4GB Micro SD cards which work just fine!

The phones ONLY work on GSM cellular networks. They require a SIMM card for your cellular provider. In the US you can only use cell phone service provided by ATT, or T Mobile or resellers of their service like H2O. If you are not sure ask if your cell provider uses SIMM cards. If they don't you cant use these phones on their network.

The phones are very easy to set up as long as you are comfortable with what you are doing. Pop off the back, insert a SIMM card from your chosen cellular provider, insert a 4GB memory card. Put the back/battery back on, turn the watch on/ set the time and date, activate with your cell phone provider and your are done and ready to make and receive calls. That easy. about 10 minutes or less!

We purchased both our phones through Amazon from PGD Group. I can not speak for other vendors, but their customer service is outstanding! They stand behind their products, and make sure the customer is taken care of and happy! If you buy from them you will not go wrong!

4Good product
By Johan Cañas
I've got to confess I really thought it was going to be a disaster , but as long as I've Been using the phone I haven't had any serious problem. I still have my doubts about it being refurbished, though if it is it works perfectly. Only once it suddenly turn off while I was speaking and restarted itself. I hope it won't happen again. But in general is a good product that correspond its description.

41st Android phone
By T. Gainer
I'm a Consumer Cellular customer. Consumer Cellular is an ATT reseller with no contracts and great rates. I've had the LG Thrive for a week and I now see why everyone raves about the Android OS. Thousands of Apps, fast response and easy to learn. LG makes a quality phone and the Thrive is solid and fast for the money I paid. Definitely a good phone. I'm looking forward to learning everything it can do.

5nice phone
By Karen Halley
a relaible phone. A very good price for this phone that can do a million things. I live in the caribbean, and I just put my chip in and it worked right away. It is very good for using the internet and it's very user friendly. Glad I bought this phone instead of a more pricey one, it does the same things the more pricey one do and it also takes realy nice pictures.

4Great value.
By Konrad Finck
I purchased one of these phones 2 1/2 years ago and I have been well satisfied with it. I recently purchased a second identical phone for my wife. It's not the most high powered phone, but it works well, runs all the apps I need, and can be used on AT&T's pay-as-you-go plan without a data plan. I wanted a phone that could be used as a wi-fi only smartphone, and this one fills the bill. Since I don't do a lot of calling, my total average phone charges for most months is about $14.
