If you plan to Use Straight Talk with this phone...

Concerning the phone:
This phone is an excellent clone of the Samsung S3, but it is NOT an exact replica in terms of software or certain hardware specs. For the average smart phone user however you won't really know or care about the differences, especially when you factor in the price.
I do have some cautions for those of you who care to use this phone with Straight Talk or any other prepaid SIM related company. YOU WILL RUN INTO PROBLEMS SENDING MMS or VIDEO CHATTING.
The reason being is that the original settings for this phone's APN is off and it seems like when you use Straight Talk's configuration there are still some compatibility issues. However, don't fret because "finding" the right APN settings will ensure you have a great phone and can send MMS, use the internet, and download without a problem. Your task is to find the right one. In my case I have set up 3 different APNs for different funtions, but I have found that one works fine for all my data needs. I will post the settings on that later if anyone request it.
Straight talk does not offer any updates for the Android OS, this device runs on Jelly Bean 4.1.1, and even though 4.2.1 hasn't been released for the U.S (I think), it is unlikely that Straight Talk will an update for it; but who knows?
The specs of the phone are exactly what they appear as, nice screen size and horrible front camera ( all the stuff you have already read). And I have read a lot of complaints about the battery, an quick fix would be to download an app killer so that you are not wasting battery life on random apps.
The internet speed is great, the feel is great, you definitely will need to buy some kind of protection for a phone like this, if it drops once...its over.
Remember if your internet isn't working its NOT the phone, check your APN under settings---more----mobile networks---Access Point Names.

OK, so far, but....

It works as advertised, at least for the main phone/text functions. However, being my first smart phone, I tried to get smart myself by reading the user manual, which is poorly written by people that do not normally speak English. The manual is insufficient in describing the set up and operation of the phone, and the print is way too small. I had to resort in downloading the actual Galaxy S III manual online (369 pages) that is correctly inclusive of all the Android OS features.
Furthermore, I am waiting to test the phone on my upcoming visits to Europe, where I plan to insert the second SIM card and use it locally. I bought this model specifically for my trips abroad, and its performance will be tested and rated accordingly. More to come....

Great phone

I was skeptical of buying an off brand phone, and when the seller used ec-firstclass to ship the phone I was even more worried. The phone came before I was expecting it, a week earlier, and there was no problem with it what so ever. I highly suggest charging the battery fully before turning it on though, I didn't and the battery died quickly. Luckily it comes with two. I had problems with the APN settings, but it was easy to fix, just Google it. If you drop the phone, or knock it on something, the touch screen starts spazzing out. It'll call someone while you're texting instead of it clicking send. I haven't found a case for it yet, nothing will really work with the button placement. So if anyone finds something please tell me. I you a straighttalk sim and have perfect reception btw.
