perfect! just what i have been wanting!
By Tung Mau Vu
all i want is to talk and txt.
ideally any Blackberry would work! but AT&T forced me to get a data plan, which i would never use! so i searched everywhere for a nice qwerty phone. i have tried the cheaper Dr Tech IP88, and that worked for 4 months till the phone died thanks to poor build quality.
and then i found this Motorola EX223. i love it!!!
it is so slim. the kb is great for texting. the build quality is very good! i did not even know it has a touchscreen!!!
so what is not to love?
the battery lasts for at least 1 week! it has fm radio, plays mp3 on microSDHC, the phone is so light i can hold it forever unlike a smartphone like iphone, comfortable keys for txt. and best of all? no stupid data plans forced onto by AT&T.
dont expect anything from the camera or the mediocre apps....because this isnt exactly a smartphone ok?!

My Two Complaints
By Russ
I have had the Motorola EX223 for several months now and I have two major complaints:
1. No way to select vibrator vs sound for alerts or calls. It appears to have a vibrator because with some menu selections it will acknowledge with a slight shake.
2. You can turn the volume down from maximum of 7 to 0 and you will not get a ring when a call is received; however you will still get an alert sound every time there is a text message and I have not found anyway to turn that off.
UPDATE: I just learned how to set the device to vibrate and not ring. There is a pull down menu accessed by a tiny series of bars, that brings up some options for profile etc. In one of these the alerts can be changed. I found this out from a UTube video on the EX223, not from any manual or forum.

My my, very nice
By DrSparx
This is an unlocked dual SIM GSM phone. Does not have wifi. One SIM has 3G capability. Battery lasts for days. The radio is very nice, allows you access to alternate music venues. Very light. Touch screen and full keyboard.
